Privacy Policy

Effective August 20, 2026

Inky Dame Interactive respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Inky Dame Interactive handles information when you use inkydameinteractive.com, our games and applications, including products such as Lorehaven and Inkbound, and related studio services and communications.

Some products may provide additional privacy notices when their features or data practices require additional disclosure. Those notices supplement this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

The information we collect depends on which Inky Dame Interactive product or service you choose to use and which features you enable.

This may include:

  • Name, email address, or other information you voluntarily submit through our website.
  • Support requests and other communications with us.
  • Project waitlist and testing information.
  • Account identifiers and authentication information needed to sign you into applications.
  • Application preferences and settings.
  • Progress, achievements, streaks, virtual currency balances, unlocks, customization selections, and similar application data.
  • User-created content that you intentionally create, save, import, or synchronize through an application.
  • Limited technical information such as browser type, device type, operating system, application version, error information, performance information, and approximate location when provided by the platform or service.

The exact information collected varies by product and by the features you choose to use.

Accounts and authentication

Some Inky Dame Interactive applications allow you to create or access an account. Authentication may be provided through third-party services such as Google and Firebase Authentication.

When you sign in using Google, the application may receive basic account information necessary to authenticate you, such as your email address, display name, profile information, and account identifier, depending on the permissions you grant.

Authentication information is used to provide account access, synchronization, account recovery, and related application functionality.

Cloud storage and synchronization

Some applications may provide cloud synchronization so you can access your information across devices. Depending on the product, synchronized information may include preferences, application settings, tasks, progress, streaks, virtual currency balances, unlocks, collectibles, companion information, writing statistics, project information, and other information necessary to provide the application's features.

Services such as Google Firebase may be used to provide authentication, databases, synchronization, hosting, and related infrastructure.

User-created content

Some Inky Dame Interactive products allow you to create or manage content such as writing, manuscripts, notes, directives, tasks, projects, journal information, or similar material.

This content is processed only as necessary to provide the features you choose to use. You retain ownership of the content you create, subject to any separate terms that may apply to a particular service.

Google Drive and Google Docs integrations

Some applications, including Lorehaven, may allow you to voluntarily connect your Google account to features involving Google Drive or Google Docs.

These integrations may be used to:

  • Connect documents you select.
  • Create documents when you request it.
  • Retrieve information necessary to display or synchronize selected documents.
  • Synchronize writing progress or word counts.
  • Open selected documents in Google Docs.
  • Provide application features you explicitly initiate.

Access is limited to the permissions required for the features you choose to enable. You may disconnect your Google account or revoke permissions through your Google account settings.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, where applicable.

Local and offline storage

Applications may store certain information locally on your device to provide offline functionality, improve performance, maintain preferences, or preserve unsynchronized changes. When cloud synchronization is enabled, locally stored information may later synchronize with the applicable cloud service.

AI-assisted features

Some products may include optional AI-assisted features. When you intentionally use an AI-assisted feature, information you submit to that feature may need to be processed by the technology provider used to deliver it. Any such processing is limited to providing the feature you requested and is subject to applicable product disclosures and service-provider terms. User-created content is not automatically sent to AI systems merely because it exists in an application.

Cookies, analytics, and technical data

The website may use essential cookies or similar technologies needed for core functionality, security, and performance measurement. We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate traffic and site performance.

Games and applications may also collect limited diagnostic, performance, crash, or technical information where necessary to operate and improve the service. We do not use behavioral advertising unless a particular product explicitly states otherwise.

Service providers

We may use trusted third-party providers to operate our services. Depending on the product, these may include Google, Firebase, Google Drive, Google Docs, hosting providers, authentication providers, analytics providers, email providers, infrastructure providers, and AI technology providers when an AI feature is intentionally used. These providers process information as necessary to perform services on our behalf or according to functionality you initiate.

Selling and sharing personal information

Inky Dame Interactive does not sell users' personal information. Information may be provided to service providers as necessary to operate the service, fulfill your requests, protect users or the studio, or comply with law.

Project waitlists and testing

When you join a project waitlist, we may organize your email address in a project-specific list using our email service provider. If you separately indicate interest in testing, we may also include you in that project's tester pool. Joining a waitlist or tester pool does not guarantee access to an early build. You may unsubscribe from optional project email at any time.

Data retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the applicable service, maintain accounts, support synchronization, resolve disputes, meet security requirements, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and service involved.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no online service, storage system, or method of transmission can guarantee absolute security.

Account and data deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information. Some applications may provide account deletion directly within the application.

You may also contact support@inkydameinteractive.com for assistance with account or data deletion.

Certain information may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other legitimate legal purposes.

If you believe information from a child has been collected improperly, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

External services and links

Our website, games, and applications may link to or integrate with third-party platforms, storefronts, social networks, cloud services, authentication providers, or other services. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, which are governed by their own policies.

Project-specific notices

Particular Inky Dame Interactive games or applications may provide supplemental privacy notices when necessary because their features or data practices require additional disclosure. Those notices should be read together with this studio-wide Privacy Policy.
